Pioneer golfers top Rochester

STAR CITY — The Pioneer girls golf team defeated Rochester 190-208 Tuesday at Pond View Golf Course.

The Panthers were led by three golfers who shot personal-best rounds. Macie Moon shot a 43 to tie for medalist honors with Rochester’s Kristianna Lingenfelter. Hailey Gotshall (45) and Anna Parsley (48) also shot personal-best rounds for the Panthers.

Kenzie Bullock shot a 54 for Pioneer (1-2). Meisha Price added a 61.

“We finally got everyone together. Hopefully we’re on the right track,” Pioneer coach Dale Samuels said.

Karah Lingenfelter, Maddie Henning and Kat Rensberger each added a 55 for Rochester.

The Panthers return to action on Monday when they travel to Clinton Prairie.

Lewis Cass selling season tickets

WALTON — Season passes are now available in the Lewis Cass Athletic Office from 8 a.m.-noon every school day.

Lewis Cass will also be selling passes at the varsity football scrimmage Friday and at the Sept. 6 varsity football game, both at 7 p.m.
