The 2019 City Golf Tournament at Dykeman Park was put in the books Sunday with a perennial contender breaking through for his first title.
Mark Bowser is your champion this year with a four-round total of 1-over 281 (70-69-73-70).
Bowser needed a strong round on the final day and he answered. He started the day four shots back of reigning champ Jacob Martin, who finished runner-up with a 2-over 282 (69-68-71-74).
"The course was in really good shape today but usually it always is. I had a couple rough spots on the front nine but I came back and shot even par on the back side," said Martin.
"I had a pretty good day today," said Bowser. " I three-putted the first hole, and I do that sometimes but I didn't fall apart and I just didn't get myself in trouble with my shots and I was able to make all my pars. Jacob usually gets the best of me but today I was able to get by him."
Brandon Oberkrom struggled last weekend but put together a pair of 68's this weekend to make a strong run at the title but fell short by two strokes to claim third place with a four round 283 (73-74-69-68).
