The Pioneer girls basketball team continued its recent roll with a 67-45 win at Maconaquah on Tuesday night.

Olivia Brooke had 26 points and Hailey Cripe scored 25 for the Class A No. 6 Panthers (11-3), who won their eighth straight game. Madison Blickenstaff added 13 points.

Pioneer led 18-9 after one, 36-25 at halftime and 56-37 after three.

Lilly Maple had 14 points to lead the Braves (6-6).

Pioneer’s scheduled game against Southwood on Thursday has been canceled. The Panthers next host Argos on Saturday afternoon.


Winamac trailed most of the way before coming back in the fourth quarter to defeat visiting Triton.

Triton led 13-6 after one, 22-13 at halftime and 30-26 after three before Winamac outscored them 10-5 in the fourth.

Kingsley Kroft scored 18 points on six 3-pointers for the Warriors (9-4, 2-2 HNAC), including two in the fourth quarter. Maggie Smith had seven points, 11 rebounds and four assists. Aubrey Gearhart added five points and five assists.

Taren Yates, Lexia Hostrawser and Addyson Viers had nine points apiece to lead the Trojans (5-10, 1-5). Abbey Viers added eight.

Winamac hosts LaVille on Thursday night.


LaVille recorded a league win at Winamac.

Winamac led 14-13 after one. LaVille took a 34-31 lead at halftime and led 46-42 after three.

Leyton Czarnecki scored 18 points to lead the Lancers (4-4, 2-0 HNAC). Andrew Dill had 14, Bobby Good scored 10 and Ayden Doyle added nine.

LaVille made 10 3-pointers, which included four apiece by Czarnecki and Dill.

Russell Compton had 18 points to lead the Warriors (2-6, 1-3). Trent Fox scored eight, Matt Swartzell had seven, Carson Bennett had six and Beau Brandt added five.

Winamac travels to North Judson on Friday.


Cass’ game against Peru will not be rescheduled.

The Kings have added a home game against Marion on Saturday, Jan. 23 with a 6 p.m. JV, 7:30 varsity start.
