Thanks to those who facilitated Logansport Road paving
Recently, road repaving was completed on Logansport Road/Business 24 between Logansport and the Cass/Miami county line. This stretch of road is one that I travel on daily to work and then again coming home.
During the time that the construction took place, traffic was well managed from both directions so that there was minimal wait time. From beginning to completion the project took about two weeks.
I want to express my personal thanks to those who made the repaving possible. First of all, thank you to Jeff Smith, Cass County Highway Superintendent, for preparing the proper grant. Thanks to other personnel of the department for preparing the road and handling other support activities during construction. Also, I’d like to mention the Cass County Commissioners and Council for supporting the project with a local 25 percent match fund, INDOT for awarding the grant, Lochmueller Group for the preliminary estimate, engineering and construction inspection services and Central Paving of Logansport as the primary contractor.
The work was extremely well done and I am sure there are many who travel the road who are appreciative of how it will save wear and tear on their automobiles as well as create a safe and pleasant driving experience.
Thank you again to all those involved in making this project something worthwhile for all who travel in Cass County.
Michael Clayton, Logansport
