Police responded to a call that gun shots had been fired at Pinecrest Apartment complex on Logansport’s east side at 8 p.m. Monday.

Two juvenile brothers were arrested in relation to the incident. A 17-year-old is being charged as an adult. He is being held in the Cass County Jail on charges of criminal recklessness and possession of a handgun.

A 15-year-old was transported to an out-of-county juvenile facility.

The investigation led police to Peru, where the gun was recovered. No one was shot with the gun, investigators say.

Police were in court today giving an oral probable cause hearing. The prosecutor’s office will have two days to decide whether to file charges and what charges to file.

Officers investigating the case worked throughout the night. More information will be released as it is obtained.
