According to the latest update from the Indiana State Health Department (ISHD), the total number of COVID-19 cases is 1,648 in Cass County, an increase of four over Sunday's report.
The most recent ISHD report shows 610 cases in Howard County, 194 in Miami, 278 in White, 114 in Carroll, 76 in Fulton and 66 in Pulaski.
An additional 452 cases have been confirmed statewide by the ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Cass County Health Department, Memorial Hospital and private laboratories. That brings the statewide total to 52,037 with 2,569 deaths, for a death rate of 4.9 percent.
A total of 570,409 tests have been reported to ISDH to date with 9.1 percent of those returning positive results.
According to the latest update from the CDC, 3,236,130 cases are now confirmed nationwide. There have been 134,572 deaths reported nationwide for a death rate of 4.2 percent.
As of Friday morning’s report, the World Health Organization says 12,750,275 people have been infected worldwide with 566,355 deaths reported, for a global death rate of 4.4 percent.
