Cass County is blessed with lots of Good Neighbors, and over the course of the next four days, the Pharos-Tribune will recognize a few of them.
Take Jim Michael, a man whose neighbors describe him as a godsend, or Donna Benedict, who spends even her spare time helping folks in a time of need. And then there are Bud and Mary Kay Baar, a husband and wife team who always seem to be there when a member of the church needs a friendly face.
Today’s installment also features a guest column from a former winner, Linda Hoffman, who writes about why communities need good neighbors like the folks we feature in today’s edition.
The goal of these awards is to shine a spotlight on folks whose good deeds generally go unheralded, but who provide an example we might all do well to follow.
