Three people were injured, including two juveniles, in a multi-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in the 3000 block of Ind. 29.

Cass County Sheriff's Department Deputy Chris Jones said a gray Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Krystal Mullett, 29, Flora, was traveling southbound on Ind. 29 when it rear-ended a red Chrysler Town and Country, driven by Silbestre Jiminez, 43, Logansport, in front of it.

Mullet told police that she was leaning over to plug in her cell phone and could not stop from hitting the van once she looked up, Jones stated.

The impact of the collision injured Jiminez and two juveniles also inside the van. They were taken by ambulance to Logansport Memorial Hospital. Their conditions were unknown as of press time.

The crash backed up the north and southbound lanes of Ind. 29 for several minutes while emergency crews cleaned up the area.

Assisting CCSD at the scene were Prompt Ambulance Services and Logansport Fire Department.
