Police arrested three juveniles Sunday following a report of an attempted armed robbery outside of a Logansport grocery store two days earlier.

One of the juveniles was reported to have brandished a BB gun during the attempted robbery while another was reported to have used a stun gun on one of the two victims.

The attempted robbery was reported at about 7:16 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, according to the Logansport Police Department's blotter.

Logansport Police Detective Eric Smith said the attempted robbery took place outside of Martin's Super Market, 3420 E. Market St. Smith said the LPD's investigation indicates two male juveniles wearing masks and dressed in black approached two women. One of the juveniles pointed a BB gun, Smith said, while the other was reported to have attacked one of the women with a stun gun. Smith said one of the women had two burn marks on her arm but that he has not yet confirmed whether they were caused by a stun gun.

The juveniles' attempt to rob the women was unsuccessful, Smith said, and they fled in a silver SUV driven by a third juvenile.

Smith said the investigation that followed led to the arrests of the three juveniles early Sunday, Dec. 2. The three juveniles were charged with robbery, a Level 3 felony, Smith said.

Logansport Police Lt. A.J. Rozzi said the three juveniles are detained in a juvenile detention facility in Grant County.
