6:12 a.m. — Criminal mischief. Christopher L. Dixson, Logansport, reported a window to the basement broken. Logansport Police Department.

8:13 a.m. — Theft. Tony C. Sherwood, Logansport, reported two checks from a closed account in his name were stolen and used at a local retail store. LPD.

8:34 a.m. — Criminal mischief. Maynard Wood, Logansport, reported someone threw a pool ball through the rear window of his vehicle. LPD.

9:29 a.m. — Criminal mischief. Heidi Elkins, Logansport, reported someone threw a pool ball through the rear window of her vehicle. She stated it was the second time her vehicle has been targeted. LPD.

10:16 a.m. — Property-damage accident, 17th Street near East Market Street. A vehicle driven by Steven C. Barton, 47, Logansport, struck a properly parked vehicle with a trailer while turning. LPD.

12:26 p.m. — Property-damage accident, East Market Street near Mall Road. A vehicle driven by Collett I. Kleckner, 70, Logansport, struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Lonnie K. Barnes, 49, Delphi. Kleckner told police she had reached down for her purse and did not see Barnes’ vehicle stopped for traffic. LPD.

7:57 p.m. — Arrest. Suzanne K. Gaby, 35, Logansport, was arrested on a charge of probation violation. Cass County Sheriff’s Department.



Monday

7:08 a.m. — Arrest. Arnold A. Deleon, 22, Logansport, was arrested on a charge of failure to appear. CCSD.

7:42 a.m. — Burglary. Joe Shideler, owner of Shideler Electric, reported an unknown person(s) broke into his business. Two televisions and a VCR were taken from a motor home parked inside the business. Several doors suffered damage from prying, but nothing else appeared to have been taken. LPD.

8:12 a.m. — Angela Wootten of Riverbend Apartments reported the door to the community laundry room kicked in and a case of paper towels stolen. LPD.

8:19 a.m. — Criminal mischief. Hazel J. Perdue, Logansport, reported damage to the passenger side of her parked vehicle occurred sometime the night before. LPD.

11:24 a.m. — Criminal mischief. Ryan A. Smith, Logansport, reported several eggs were thrown onto his vehicle. LPD.

12:57 p.m. — Arrest. Kevin B. Phillips, 30, Logansport, was arrested on charges of intimidation, disorderly conduct and possession of paraphernalia. LPD.

2:01 p.m. — Theft. Charles Shepard, manager of Rent-A-Center, reported an X-Box gaming system was stolen from the store. LPD.

4:10 p.m. — Fraud. Carolyn S. Hayden, Logansport, reported she received a cashier’s check from the Interactive Gaming Commission in the mail. She called the bank that issued the check and was told it was fraudulent. She told police she wants people to be aware of the fraud. LPD.



Fire Reports

Sunday

1:48 p.m. — Someone was burning trash and railroad ties, 1015 Lynas St. The fire was left unattended and the fire spread to a field.

2:02 p.m. — Extinguished a field fire, 229 Winding Brook Trail.

2:59 p.m. — A man burning trash caught a nearby corn field on fire, 200E and 450S. The fire burned one acre of ground.
