On Nov. 3, Greg Toth started at Logansport Municipal Utilities.
At the end of December, he took over as the new Superintendent, replacing Paul Hartman.
Utility Service Board hired Toth in the fall.
“I could not be more excited to be part of Logansport Municipal Utilities, a team that is completely committed to providing the highest level of reliable service and producing measurable outcomes for the community we serve,” Toth said.
Toth was born and raised in Oregon, Ohio.
He attended University of Findlay in Ohio, where he earned a B.A. in psychology.
Toth and his wife, Catie, are the parents of two grown children and have bought a home in Logansport.
“My wife has family in the area and mine are in central Ohio, so Logansport was a nice fit for us geographically to relocate,” he stated.
They were also impressed with how proud people are of this area, he said.
During his 25 years of experience in municipal power operations, Toth has worked in executive positions at Brite House Electricians in Pittsburgh; First Energy Corporation in Akron, Ohio; Hawaii Gas in Honolulu; and SourceGas in Golden, Colorado.
Toth is known for consistently aligning decisions with business strategy, improving efficiencies, reducing cost and focusing emphatically on customer satisfaction.
He plans to bring leadership with a strength and sense of direction that empowers utilities to envision, plan and execute innovative solutions to best serve the customers and to enhance community development, for both residential and business sectors.
