A Brookston man died Friday evening after a two-vehicle accident on Indiana 18 White County Road 150 East.

Aaron Jackson, 30, was driving a 2009 Nissan Maxima west on 18 and crossed the center line for an unknown reason, according to an Indiana State Police press release.

He struck head-on a 2018 Ford Escape traveling east on 18.

A Brookston Town Marshal started giving aid to Jackson after arriving on the scene, but Jackson did survive.

He was declared dead at the scene of the accident.

EMS workers transported the driver and passenger of the Ford to a Lafayette area hospital.

The state police are withheld their condition and identities until their families are notified.

Probationary Indiana State Trooper McKinney was assisted on scene by troopers from the Lafayette Post, deputies from the White County Sheriff’s Department, officers from the Brookston Police Department, the White County Coroner, Brookston First Responders, members of the Monticello Fire Department, the Tippecanoe County EMS, and Farney’s Towing.
