A truck parked along Main Street in New Waverly caught fire early Monday morning. Damage was too severe to establish a cause.

NEW WAVERLY – An early morning truck fire remains under investigation.

Just after 3 a.m. Monday, the New Waverly Fire Department was dispatched to 9959 Main St. after a truck caught fire. Due to the amount of damage, the cause is undetermined, said Rocky Buffum, chief.

The 1999 Ford F-150 had been parked along Main Street.

No one was injured.

Along with the New Waverly Fire Department, the following agencies also responded to the call: Walton Volunteer Fire Department, Cass County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police, EMS, and Phoenix Ambulance Service.
