Civic Players of Logansport announces auditions for “To Kill a Mockingbird,” the classic drama about race relations in the Depression-era Deep South.

The show will be presented in March 2007 at McHale Performing Arts Center, Logansport High School.

Auditions will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 9 and 10, 16 and 17 at the Civic Players building, 1115 Erie Avenue in Logansport.

Speaking roles being cast include: Two black men, ages 25 to 80; two black women, ages 25 to 70; seven white men, ages 35 to 75; five white women, ages 16 to 80; one white girl, age 8 to 14; and two white boys, ages 9 to 16.

There also are small roles for several men and women of various ages.
