Fish fry: The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3790 Men’s and Women’s Auxiliaries will hold an all-you-can-eat fish fry from 5 to 7 p.m. in the post home. Prices are $7 for adults and $5 for children. Carry-outs are available at (574) 722-9879.
Fish, chicken strip fry: A fish fry and chicken tender meal will be served from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at Miami Baptist Church. The cost is $7.50 in advance or $8 at the door for adults, and $5 in advance or $5.50 at the door for children ages 6 to 12. Carry-outs will be available.
Pops Concert: The Lewis Cass Concert Band will perform at the Pops Concert at 7:30 p.m. at Lewis Cass High School. This event will feature the sixth, seventh, eighth and high school bands and the graduating seniors at Lewis Cass will be recognized.
Saturday
Breakfast: A community breakfast is from 6:30 to 10 a.m. at Deer Creek Presbyterian Church. Breakfasts are made to order. The church is handicap accessible and carry-outs are available. Donations will be accepted.
Wildflower hike: A wildflower hike will be at 9 a.m. at France Park. Hikers will meet at the Gatehouse to start. Admission is free, and the entire hike is four miles long. There will be three pick-up sites for those wishing to hike a lesser distance.
Fish fry fundraiser: The Lucerne Lions Club is holding an all-you-can-eat fish fry from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lions Hall. The cost is $3.50 for children and $7 for adults. Children under age 6 can eat at no charge. Pie is extra.
Gourd festival: The Indiana Gourd Society is presenting its spring festival and membership meeting from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Miami County Fairgrounds. Admission is free. An auction will take place at 11 a.m. For any questions about the event, call Steve Sullivan at (574) 722-2419.
May Day Festival: The 10th annual May Day Fest will be from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in Walton. There will be town-wide yard and garage sales. The Tipwa Tractor Club will have a tractor show, and the Walton Area Quilters will have a quilt show in the basement of the library from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Lions Club will serve cake doughnuts at 7:30 a.m. on Depot Street and a fish fry at 11 a.m. Barbecue pork sandwiches will be served at 9 a.m. until they are all sold. Both the Walton Methodist and Lutheran Churches will have bake sales. 
Chicken and noodles: Walton Christian Church is holding a chicken and noodle dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the church fellowship hall.
Bike Show: Cass County Chapter of ABATE is hosting an Awareness Bike Show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Logansport Mall.
Annual golf scramble: The third annual Logansport Jaycees Golf Scramble is planned at the Logansport Golf Club. Fish, tenderloin dinner: Idaville First Church of God is hosting a fish and tenderloin fry by Dan’s Frying Service from 4 to 8 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults; $5 for children 6 to 12; and free for children under age 6.
