Battle results in, scholarship funds matched

Cass County Community Foundation Executive Director Deanna Crispen released the final results of the foundation’s “Battle of the Schools” at the Cass County 4-H fair.

The schools raised a combined total of more than $1,800 with Pioneer edging out Lewis Cass on Friday night by only $11.32 to be declared this year’s winner.

Pioneer Scholarship Fund will receive a $1,000 match from the community foundation.

In addition, because the competition was so close, and the camaraderie between the two schools was so evident, the CCCF has also awarded Lewis Cass a $500 match for their Scholarship Fund.

For more information about the “Battle of the Schools” or for general information about CCCF, call the foundation at 722-2200.
