Winamac rocks North Judson

NORTH JUDSON — Class A No. 3-ranked Winamac stayed undefeated at 7-0 with a 30-13 win over North Judson (2-5) on Friday night.

The Warriors built up a 30-0 lead in the first three quarters.

“Our No. 1s played really well, and they had the shutout until we put in our No. 2s, and they scored 13 points on us, so we made the most of the situation,” Winamac coach Tim Roth said.

Winamac had 246 yards rushing in 42 attempts with its leader being Tyler Katschke with 134 yards on 19 carries. The Warriors' defense held North Judson to 39 yards rushing on 25 carries.

Winamac quarterback T.J. Garnett was 9 of 18 for 156 yards and two touchdowns. North Judson had 72 yards passing.

Winamac did have trouble with its penalties with 7 for 60 yards, while North Judson had 1 for 10.
