Police blotter, Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013

Tuesday

8:08 a.m. — Theft. Kinzie Building, 110 Godfrey St. Owner reported his front door of the business was broken out while the business was closed Aug. 12. Logansport Police Department.

11:55 a.m. — Crash. 900 block of High Street. Claudia Taylor, 78, Monterey, and Samantha Schrader, 18, Topsham, Maine, collided. LPD.

2:09 p.m. — Crash. 1 Ivy Tech Drive. Anna Bueno, 25, Logansport, backed into a vehicle driven by Charlotte Butler, 60, Logansport. LPD.

9:30 p.m. — Arrest. Felix Mendez Guerro, 22, Logansport, was arrested on a charge of operator never licensed. Cass County Sheriff’s Department.

10:06 p.m. — Arrest. Brandon Akers, 43, Logansport, was arrested on a charge of battery. LPD.

10:17 p.m. — Arrest. Romulo Galindo, 52, Logansport, was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated-prior, a class D felony, and driving while suspended-prior, a class A misdemeanor. LPD.

10:38 p.m. — Theft. 1300 block of Spear Street. Complainant reported the theft of his moped. LPD.

Wednesday

12:17 a.m. — Arrest. Amanda Jo Cook, 30, Logansport, was arrested on an out-of-county warrant. LPD.

1:19 a.m. — Arrest. Daniel Richard Spanley, 34, Logansport, was arrested on an out-of-county warrant. LPD.

FIRE REPORTS

Tuesday

7:36 a.m. — Motorcycle laid down with a tree partly blocking road, no driver found. West of 3910 W. Georgetown Road. Another tree fell after arrival, blocking entire road. Cass County Fire District/New Waverly Fire District.

11:59 a.m. — Motor vehicle accident. Ninth and High streets. Logansport Fire Department.

3:37 p.m. — Natural gas leak. 2000 North St. LFD.

3:50 p.m. — Assist medics. 2029 1/2 E. Market St. LFD.

3:58 p.m. — Lift assist. 715 N. Jackson St. LFD.

8:29 p.m. — Fire alarm problem. Holiday Inn Express, 3939 E. Market St. LFD.

9:13 p.m. — Assist medics. 2425 Point Rd. CCFD/NWFD.
