Big thanks go anonymous donor
Becki Harris, executive director of Logan’s Landing, sends this Rose to an anonymous donor:
“Logan’s Landing is the happy recipient of an anonymous donation in the amount of $2,060.
“The mystery donor states that he or she enthusiastically endorses the downtown beautification program and is grateful for all that has been accomplished by Logan’s Landing, and requests that this donation be used for the purchase of additional benches.
“We will be delighted to do just that! Thank you so much for your support and for your kind words!
“It is always wonderful to know that others notice the work we do, and your generous contribution will help us as we continue our efforts to improve and preserve Logansport’s downtown district.”
Families thankful for help in time of need
Alyssa Beaty daughter, Patricia Fry, Kathryn Martin and family, Charlie Fry and family and Harold Fry and family send this Rose to those who helped in recent emergencies:
“We have had two dire emergencies this year where we have had to use the emergency room at the Logansport Memorial Hospital. We cannot thank the staff enough for the fast, effective, compassionate care we received.
“In July, a 10-year-old dove into a swimming pool and broke his neck. They were so wonderful with patience and understanding.
“On Dec. 4, we had a family member suffer a stroke. Again, fast, effective and caring care. Within an hour, she was on her way to Fort Wayne.
“With the 10 year old, she was sent to Riley and the care she has received there has been wonderful. She is making a slow and steady recovery. With the stroke patient, the care she received at Parkview North ICU unit was so compassionate and caring but unfortunately we lost her.
“At this time, we the family of Linda Sue Fry, would like to thank the staff of Logansport Memorial Hospital Emergency Room, Parkview North Intensive Care Unit, Gundrum Funeral and the many friends and family for all the food, support, cards and prayers during this difficulty time.”
