PUBLIC FORUM: Utility crew came to rescue

I wanted to personally thank the workers from Logansport Municipal Utilities for helping Norwich Public Utilities (Norwich, Conn.) recover from Hurricane Sandy. As the chairman of Norwich Board of Public Utilities Commissioners, I understand how important it is for publicly owned utilities to stick together. The crew from Logansport Municipal Utilities performed excellent work and helped our crews to restore power quicker than surrounding towns who are served by investor-owned utility companies.

The citizens of Logansport can be assured that they are served by a caring, competent and dedicated utility staff. From the people of Norwich, Conn., we say thank you for being there for us in our time of need.

James M. Sullivan, chairman
