I am a veteran, but all I did was wear the uniform. The true respect, honors and appreciation should go to the veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice and gave their lives for their country, and for the many veterans who lost limbs or suffered other debilitating injuries during their service to their country. These are the heroes that Veterans Day is meant for, and even those that weren’t wounded but suffered the horror of war.
I had the honor to work with these heroes when I worked at Exide, and they were a great bunch of guys, and all I can say is, thanks guys. They came back alive, some of them wounded but thank God alive. Proud to be your friend. Pray that you may never experience the horrors again.
