Thanks for support of flag pole project

You may remember reading an article Sept. 19 about my Eagle Scout project, which was putting up a flag pole at the Georgetown Fire Department in Lake Cicott. My project could not have happened without the people and businesses that contributed. Here is a full list of all who donated to the project: Enyeart Realities, Logansport Home Depot, Carter's Concrete Blocks Inc., American Tool Time, Artrip Welding, Mix 102 & Matthew Paul, Pharos-Tribune, State Sen. Randy Head, Kevin & Bridget Enyeart, Randy Patty, Jeff Stevens, Kent Morehead (The Driveway Guy), Jerry & Dena Gibbs, Gerald & Sherry Gibbs, Ron & Connie Neal, Roger Spencer, Tonya Gundrum Smith, Gary & Sharon Rudolph, Mary Handy, Dennis Settlemyre, Rod Lytle, Dave Armick, Rick Rottet, anonymous donor (flag pole).

I would like to thank them all for their help. I would also like to take this time to mention to other young men out there that joining a Boy Scout troop is a great group to get into. You will learn how to survive outdoors, working with others and helping your community. You’ll also learn leadership skills among many other lessons in life.

I would also like to mention the Civil Air Patrol. This is a military program that I am also involved in, and it teaches all the same traits that I mentioned the Boys Scouts teach. Both of these organizations help young men to prepare and become men. I would recommend that you look into joining one of these groups.

Again I would like to thank all who helped me with the project. I would also like to say thanks to all my Boy Scout leaders who helped me get here. Thank you.
