Florence J. (Grandma Susie) Svoma, 91, Logansport, died at 5:38 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Woodbridge Health Campus.
Born Aug. 6, 1921 in Drywood, Wis. to John Svoma and Mary Struka.
She was a retired cook for the Neal home. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Darlene M. “Pug” Lowe, Logansport, son, Alan Hughes, Logansport, sister, Elinore Amerling, Oregon, sister, Lois Ramharter, Fla., granddaughter, Kelly (Dana) Scott, Logansport, grandson, Rob D. (Maureen) Lowe, Las Vegas, grandson, Christopher Scott, Logansport, stepgrandson, Adam Scott and wife Jessica, Logansport, stepgranddaughter, Ashley Pedigo and husband Andy, Lafayette, great-grandchildren, Nick Erickson, Kirsten (Caleb) Koontz, Melissa Lowe and Michael Lowe, stepgreat-grandchildren Zayne, Paley, and Crew Scott and Hudson Pedigo.
Two brothers James and William “Buddy” Svoma, four sisters, Bessie Clark, Ann Svoma, Mildred Clark, Elizabeth Clark, one grandson, Jeffrey Eric Lowe, and one son-in-law, James H. Lowe, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Gundrum Funeral Home and Crematory with Father Mike McKinney officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until services.
