CAMDEN — Myna R. Walters, 86, Camden, passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at Milner Community Health Care Center, Rossville.

Born April 24, 1927, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Leah (Veatch) Roberson. On Feb. 14, 1960, in Wisconsin, she married Don L. Walters, who preceded her in death Oct. 18, 2001.

Myna worked as a deputy recorder for the county building and as a secretary for the Hanna & Hanna Law Firm and the Brethren Healthcare Nursing Home.

She was a 1945 graduate of Camden High School. Myna was a member of the Living Faith Church of the Brethren in Flora and an auxiliary member of the American Legion Post No. 75. She was a member of the Lower Deer Creek Church, where she served as a deacon on the church board.

Surviving are two daughters, Kris Walters of Camden and Robin Sipes of Lafayette; son-in-law, Mike Sipes of West Lafayette; nephew, Jim (Marcia) Roberson of Camden; three nieces, Linda (Al) Lindsey of Williamsport, Jill Robinson and Margo (Curt) Wells, both of South Carolina; and lifelong friends, Elizabeth Sheetz of Flora and Peg Miller of Burlington.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Laurel “Spider” Roberson.

A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Living Faith Church of the Brethren, Flora, with Pastor Jeff Thomson officiating. Burial will be in Musselman Cemetery, Camden.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the church.
