LAKE CICOTT — Lillian G. Clothier, 103, Logansport (Lake Ciciott), passed away at 1:39 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at her residence.

She was born Thursday, Sept. 8, 1910, in Poskin, Barron County, Wis., to the late George Linue and Esther (Fornell) Tuller. On Oct. 17, 1932, in Hudson, Wis., she married Joseph Leonard Clothier. He is deceased.

Lillian had lived in Indiana for the last several years with her family. She was born and raised in Wisconsin. Lillian was a college graduate and had her degree in teaching. She was listed in the Who’s Who of American Women in 1969 for being one of the first teachers in special education on a military base.

Lillian was involved in opening the first special education program on a military base in the United States. She loved to play the piano and teach others how to play. Lillian was a concert pianist back in her younger years. She always put God and her family first and was very devoted to both.

Survivors include son, Joseph Leonard “Joe” (wife Carolyn) Clothier Jr. of Logansport (Lake Ciciott); daughters, Carol G. (husband Edward) Houle of Livermore, Calif., Lois E. (husband George) Roberts and Harriet L. Lewellen, both of Logansport (Lake Ciciott); grandchildren, Cathy Likes, Steve Roberts, Deborah Stauss, Barbara Roberts, Martin Paul and David Lewellen, Rhonda Rietz, and Ruby Mclean; 25 great-grandchildren; and 53 great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be 5 p.m. Sunday at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, with Pastor Ken Smith of Hickory Grove Church of Delphi (Carroll County) officiating.

Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson, Calif., times to be announced.

Memorials may be given to Hickory Grove Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
