Mark E. Kemper, 57, Logansport, passed away at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, in his residence.

Born Aug. 16, 1956, in Logansport, he was the son of the late Melvin S. “Peck” and Janet Ann (Baker) Kemper.

Marked worked as a special attendant for the Logansport State Hospital for over 30 years. He was a 1973 graduate of Logansport High School and enjoyed working with computers.

Surviving is one son, Steven Kemper, Logansport; granddaughter, Alexys Kemper, Kokomo; two brothers, Robert (Chris) Kemper, Jacksonville, Fla., and Sheldon Kemper, Walton; sister, Lynn (Wayne) Steiger, Highlands Ranch, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his life partner, LeAnn Jane Stockheimer.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Wednesday in Walton Christian Church, with the Rev. Bill Collins officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
