---- — Rosalie A. Daugherty, 72, Logansport, passed away at 10:35 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at Community Hospital East, Indianapolis.

Born Sept. 26, 1940, in Kokomo, she was the oldest daughter of George and Jacqueline Tempey Ruschkofski.

She was married June 10, 1961, in Logansport, to Leland C. “Lee” Daugherty, who preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 2013.

Rosalie was a graduate of Logansport High School, Ball State Teachers’ College and earned a master’s degree from Indiana University. For over 40 years she was an elementary school teacher, with 30 of those years spent in the Indianapolis public school system. She loved Indiana history and had a great appreciation for Abraham Lincoln and his presidency.

Rosalie also enjoyed creating historical costumes, which were featured at events in France Park, at Canal Days in Delphi and local and regional community theater productions, as well as costumes for Earth Day at Logansport High School.

She and her husband were active in the Central Indiana Leather Guild and Logansport Leather Guild and she assisted in supporting the events of these organizations, including those held at the Logansport Public Library.

While living in Indianapolis, she and her husband were affiliated with Kingsway Christian Church in Avon.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Kroeger Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dean Snyder officiating. Interment will be in Davis Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
