Thelma Mae Hoover


LOGANSPORT — Thelma Mae Hoover, 80, Logansport, went home to be with the Lord at 11:20 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at Chase Center in Logansport.

Born July 10, 1932, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Preston and Naomi Keller Hamilton. On Nov. 22, 1956, in Thornhope, she married John H. Hoover, who preceded her in death Dec. 21, 2003. Thelma was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and collecting recipes. She also enjoyed playing the organ and her accordion and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Leslie Hoover, a sister, Louise (Richard) Eskildsen, both of Logansport; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister, Virginia Ruth Eldridge.

A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Hillcrest Baptist Church, Logansport, with Pastor Tim Berlin officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Hillcrest Baptist Church.
