— James E. Lee, 66, Logansport, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013, in his residence.

Born April 8, 1946, in Knoxville, Tenn., he was the son of Robert and Ruby Williams Lee.

He was married to Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Guyer Aug. 28, 1993, in Logansport. She preceded him in death Nov. 29, 2011.

Jim was retired from the maintenance department at Logansport Memorial Hospital. He served in the United States Army and was retired from the Indiana National Guard.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3790 and the American Legion Post 60.

Surviving are daughters, Jamie Matson, Burnettsville, Barbara Amsden-Lee, Kendallville, Patricia Lee, Albion, and Linda (Chuck) Wood-German, Burnettsville; a brother, Robert Lee III, Knoxville, Tenn.; sisters, Charlene and Arlene Lee, Knoxville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one niece and one nephew.

A brother, George Lee, preceded him in death.

A memorial service with full military honors will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kroeger Funeral Home. Private interment will be in Knoxville, Tenn.

Friends may visit the family from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday.
