Ada M. Beckman


LOGANSPORT — Ada M. Beckman, 85, Logansport, passed away at 12:58 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2013, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept. 27, 1927, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Louis Frank and Sarah Ann (Dilling) Conklin. On Sept. 27, 1954, in Paoli, she married Donald L. Beckman, who preceded in death Jan. 11, 1988.

Mrs. Beckman was a homemaker.

She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. Ada enjoyed cooking, gardening, watching birds, mushroom hunting and family gatherings.

Surviving her is one daughter, Donna J. (Chris) Dibble; three sons, Steven L. (Patricia) Beckman, David L. Beckman and Alvin D. Beckman and fiancée, Lori; two sisters-in-law, Carmen Conklin and Martha Jane Conklin; one brother-in-law, Donald Frye, all of Logansport; eight grandchildren, Brandon, Angela (Harry), Andrea (Jason), Dustin, Kyle, Tasha and fiancé, Mark, Olivia and Christopher; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and six brothers.

A funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Tom DeFries and Pastor Bill Bergstrom officiating. Burial will be in Davis Cemetery, Burnettsville.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Main Street United Methodist Church, Hope Hospice, or the Arbor of Miller’s Merry Manor.
