Margaret J. Miller, 80, Galveston, went home to be with the Lord at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at her home in Galveston.
She was born May 12, 1932, in Cass County, the daughter of Norris and Florence (Barker) Verbryck. She married John Miller, who survives, May 31, 1953, in Galveston.
She worked in Delco Radio and was a homemaker. She was affiliated with the First Baptist Church, Galveston and Joy Group at First Baptist Church.
She enjoyed making calendars and angels and enjoyed her flowers and gardening.
Survivors include husband, John Miller, Galveston; four sons, Arlen Miller and companion Brenda Culp, Galveston, Galen Miller, Greentown, David Miller and companion Lisa Patterson, Kokomo, and Robert (Karen) Miller, Kokomo; six grand children, Chad, Anthony, Cole, Derek, Ashley and Kyle; three great-grandchildren; brother, Howard and Becky Verbryck, Anderson; sister, Carlis and James McCauley, Kokomo; brother, Harold and Ellen Verbryck, Galveston; sister, Mary and Marion “Bud” Longfellow, Kokomo; and special niece, Mary Ann Vincent, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter, Marla J.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Galveston, with Rev. Joel Surface and Rev. Warren Purcell officiating. Burial will be at Galveston Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at First Baptist Church.
Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church, Galveston, and American Cancer Society.
