Leland C. ‘Lee’ Daugherty, 73, Logansport, formerly Indianapolis, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, in his residence.
Born Dec. 20, 1939, in Logansport, he was the son of Cloyce and Edna Wingard Daugherty.
He and his surviving wife, Rosalie Ruschkofski, were married in Logansport June 10, 1961.
A 1958 graduate of Logansport High School, Lee served in the United States Air Force. He was a retail salesman in Indianapolis, retiring from Tandy Corporation. He was a self employed photographer and was currently employed at the Logansport Walmart.
Lee was a member of the Central Indiana Leather Guild and was a member and past president of the Logansport Leather Guild. He was an instructor at the Logansport Public Library’s monthly meetings in leather crafts. He also judged 4-H leather projects.
Lee and his wife loved to travel and also provided clown and other performance entertainment, locally and in Indianapolis. While residing in Indianapolis he was a member of the Barbershop Chorus. He also participated in various multi-level marketing programs which represented his entrepreneurial spirit.
Lee was a member of the Millersville Masonic Lodge and Indianapolis Scottish Rite. He had been affiliated with Kingsway Christian Church, Avon.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughters, Dana (Jacky) Yam, St. Louis, and Lisa Daugherty (Teresa Brasher), Indianapolis, brother, Curtis (Patricia) Daugherty, Indianapolis, and one granddaughter.
Also surviving are a brother-in-law, Gerald (Mary Barbara) Ruschkofski, S.C., and sister-in-law, Ruth (Jim) Bender, Logansport.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kroeger Funeral Home. Interment will be in Davis Cemetery, with full military honors.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
