CAMDEN — Pearl H. Trapp, 102, Camden, passed away at 3:03 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, in Chase Center, Logansport.
She was born June 20, 1911, at Woodville. She was the daughter of Alta (Maiden-Guamer) and Calvin Sherman. She attended school at Burrows. On April 14, 1929, at the Deer Creek Parsonage she was married to Dale Trapp who preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 1980.
She was employed in housekeeping at the Logansport State Hospital and worked in various restaurants in the area. She loved to dance and quilt and enjoyed playing bingo. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gibsonton, Fla. She was a life member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliary at Logansport.
She is survived by one son, Billie Trapp of Camden; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Johnson of Rockfield; one daughter in law, Goldie Trapp; one brother, Dwight Sherman of Logansport; two sisters, Lucy Burton and Chloe Feltis, both of Logansport; 12 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, 26 great-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters, one daughter, three sons, one granddaughter and one great-grandson.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Cree Funeral Home, Camden, with Pastor Zane Bousum officiating. Burial will follow in the Musselman Cemetery, rural Camden.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
