Myra Jean Owens, 99, Logansport, passed away at 9:55 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Caring Hands Nursing and Health Rehabilitation Center, Peru.
Born Dec. 4, 1913, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Edna Yeider. She was married Jan. 28, 1934, in Frankfort, to Paul A. Owens, who preceded her in death Dec. 12, 1987.
Myra was a member of the Baptist Temple in Logansport. Myra worked as a cashier for many years before her retirement.
Surviving are one son, Wayne A. Owens of Pine Dale, Ariz.; one daughter-in-law, Irene Owens of Sun City, Calif.; nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Myra was preceded in death by two sisters, Julia M. Boughton and Mary Kay Tribbett; and one brother, Roger Yeider. Her son, Donald Owens, passed away March 5, 2013.
A memorial service was held Saturday at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Howard Wade officiating. A private interment will be held Monday in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
