Jane A. Conrad, 57, Logansport, passed away at 5:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, in her residence.
Born July 15, 1955, in Ypsilanti, Mich., she was the daughter of John and Josephine Foster Gleitz, both of whom preceded her in death.
On Aug. 12, 1973, in Logansport, she was married to James A. Conrad, Jr., who survives.
Jane was a 1974 graduate of Logansport High School and a member of the Logansport Church of the Nazarene. She served on the church board and enjoyed crafts and helping out at church functions. She had been a member of the “red hatters” and enjoyed mushroom hunting and fishing. She was the family photographer.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, James A. (Heather) Conrad III, Lucerne, Joe Conrad, Logansport, and Lucas (Melissa) Conrad, Royal Center; sisters, Maxine Gleitz (Mark) Mills and Jackie Gleitz, all of Logansport; 11 grandchildren, Mercedes, Santana, Dakota, Bryce, Kaylie, Felicity, Zoey, Lavender, Braxton, Gabriel and Jade; and one great-granddaughter, Piper.
Also surviving are father- and mother-in-law, James A., Sr. and Patricia Conrad, Logansport; brothers- and sisters-in-law, George and Pam Conrad, Mark Conrad, John and Sharon Conrad, Lisa and Troy Kennell, and Lora and Hank Heckathorn, all of Logansport; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A daughter, Nicole E. Conrad, and a brother, George W. Gleitz, preceded her in death.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kroeger Funeral Home. Dr. Horace Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kroeger Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Tumor Foundation (Neurofibromatosis) or the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
