Robert Lee Gale, 65, Kokomo, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013.
He was born Oct. 25, 1947, in Logansport to John and Marolyn (Baker) Gale. On June 2, 2011, he married Jeannie Kuhn, who survives.
Bob graduated from Logansport High School in 1965. He was also a graduate of Indiana University and Purdue University. Bob was employed with Indiana Bell and AT&T for 45 years. He lived in Kokomo, Walton, Greenwood and recently moved back to Kokomo.
Bob loved his family. His children and grandchildren were his joy. He remained connected with his high school classmates and was active in class events. Bob enjoyed the outdoors and hunting and fishing with his family.
Bob is survived by his wife, Jeannie; his mom, Marolyn Gale; five children, Tim (Claire) Gale of Carmel, Alyssa Gale of Martinsville, Shannon (Darren) Cromer of Fishers, Shawn (William) Rood of Indianapolis and Shelley England of Kokomo; eleven grandchildren, Marion and Greta Gale of Carmel, DellaRose and Donald Cromer of Fishers, Cassidy Coomes and Emmeline and Xlyia Rood of Indianapolis, Chance England and Cody, Chloee and Caylee Lewis of Kokomo; sister, Maureen (Edsel) Prouty of Logansport; brother, Rex (Rose) Gale of Portage; three aunts, Martha Hosier, Maxine Gale and Alice Eastman, all of Florida; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, John Gale, and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services celebrating Bob’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with the Rev. Carolyn DeWitt officiating.
Friends are invited to call from noon until service time Monday.
Memorial contributions may be made to assist the Henryville reconstruction. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
