---- — Randy Owen Painter, 57, Logansport, passed away at 5:14 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, from injuries he sustained in a vehicular accident on U.S. 24 West at 400 West.

Born July 26, 1956, in Logansport, he was the son of the late Owen Leroy and Phyllis Turnpaugh Painter.

A 1974 graduate of Logansport High School, Randy had earned his certification in AutoCAD. Following high school, he worked at the Logansport State Hospital for seven years. For 17 years, he was employed with Catepillar, Lafayette. Most recently, he was employed with the Area V Agency.

Randy loved the outdoors and spent time volunteering at France Park. His hobbies included target practicing and camping. He had also helped clean up Wilson Cemetery. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his family, but knowing he is the loving hands of our Lord and Savior until we all meet again gives them comfort and peace.

Surviving are son, Randy Painter of Logansport; daughter, JayeDee Corbett and her husband Ron, of Camden; twin sister, Sandy Gardner, and sister, Bonnie Lewis and her husband Dewey, all of Logansport; and four grandchildren, Briana, Samantha, Christain and Isaiah.

A private family service was held.
