CAMDEN — Robert D. (Bob) Schock, 79, Camden, died at 2:27 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.

Born April 17, 1934, in White County, he was the son of Wilmer R. and Margaret A. (maiden Owens) Schock. Bob was a 1952 graduate of Camden High School. He served with the 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army from September 1956 to June 1957. His marriage was Oct. 27, 1957, at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Camden to Shirley Sprinkle, who survives.

For over 30 years he worked in and was manager of the Camden and later the Bringhurst Plant Food Division of Co-Alliance, formerly the Carroll County Farm Bureau Co-Op.

He was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, the Camden Community Club, the Carroll County Country Club, Delphi Bowling League, and was a former little league baseball coach. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and was an avid IU sports fan.

Surviving with his wife Shirley are two sons, Todd (wife Rose) Schock of Delphi, Toby Schock of Camden, and a daughter Tami (husband Scott) Wray of York, S.C.; one brother Bill (wife Judy) Schock of Delphi; a sister, Barbara (husband Joe) Jones of Delphi; and two granddaughters, Lena and Lisa Schock of Delphi. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Schock.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with Pastor John Stacy and Pastor John Westfall officiating. Military rites by the Camden and Delphi American Legions and the Delphi VFW will follow at the church.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Cree Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church.
