STAR CITY —
Phyllis T. Foerg, 80, Star City, died at 5:53 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2013, at Pulaski Health Care Center, Winamac.
She was born March 21, 1933, in Headlee, Ind., to the late Isadore V. Roth and Gloria Snow Roth.
Phyllis was married Sept. 26, 1953, in Pulaski, Ind., to Richard J. “Bosco” Foerg. He passed away Feb. 14, 2005.
She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pulaski, and the Christian Mothers. Phyllis served for many years as the church organist and served in many capacities with the church.
Phyllis was a homemaker who enjoyed basket making, sewing, painting, woodcrafts, doll houses, gardening, fishing, birdwatching and baking. She used to attend craft shows around the area as a vendor selling her crafts.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Phyllis loved to volunteer with the Cass County Mental Health Association.
Survivors include daughter, Pat (Dewey) Keller, Indianapolis; sons, Mick (Denise) Foerg, Waterloo, Ill., Joe Foerg, Star City, and Rick (Lisa) Foerg, Monticello; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters Arvilla Thornbury, Indianapolis, and Charlotte Berger, Star City, and brothers, Doyle Roth, Star City, and Ron Roth Sr., Monticello.
She was preceded in death by her father, Isadore V. Roth, mother, Gloria Snow Roth, husband, Richard J. “Bosco” Foerg, son, Ronald Foerg, and sister, Dolores Gading.
A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. (EDT) Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pulaski, with Rev. Ronald Schiml and Rev. Martin Sandhage officiating. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery South, Pulaski.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. (EDT) Thursday at Frain Mortuary, Winamac, where a Scriptural Wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. (EDT) in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
