Mary ‘Joan’ Combs

Mary “Joan” Combs, 79, Logansport, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Memorial Hospital, Logansport.

Born on May 31, 1934, in Sandborn, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Oren and Margaret Sarah (Crane) Page. On Aug. 12, 1950, at Grace Fellowship Church, Logansport, she married Roscoe “Jack” Combs who survives.

Combs Ph.D. (retired); daughter, Joyce Combs and companion Duane Chapman, all of Logansport; three grandsons, Isaac Mason Combs, Colo., Michael Dyer, Logansport, and Matthew Dyer, Stockwell; three granddaughters, Jennaca E. Lee, all of Deer Creek; Shannon L. Dyer, Logansport; and Sydnye N. Combs, Galveston; five great-grandsons, Levi M. Martin, Deer Creek; sister, June Martin (Speed) Hardy, Logansport; brother, William Theodore Page, South Bend; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son, James Owen Combs; brother, Big John Page; and two sisters, Violet Ciesielski and Lola (Feick) Melampy.
