Dale J. Rawlings, 60, Logansport, passed away at 10:39 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Dale was born Dec. 26, 1953, in Kokomo, to Dale J. and Bonnie J. Rawlings. His marriage to Brenda K. Simons was on Oct. 21, 2008, in Kokomo.
Dale graduated from Haworth High School Class of 1973. He was in the U.S. Navy. He worked for Chrysler and was a member of Local 685. Dale loved to fish, hunt and crotchet bracelets in his spare time. He loved to watch the show “Duck Dynasty.” He also loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda K. Rawlings; his mother, Bonnie J. Rawlings; three sons; Steven Turner, Dale Rawlings and Curtis Rawlings; three step-daughters, Angie Brown (Luke), Allison Nickels, Alyssa McPherson; two brothers, Terry Merrell (Becky), Gale Rawlings; four sisters, Lavona Marner (Larry), Juanita Ringeisen (Ted), Mary Donelson (Jeff), Joyce Surface (Troy); along with several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by his father, Dale James Rawlings.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St. Services will follow at 11 a.m. also at the mortuary, with Pastor James Trippett officiating. Committal services will be private.
Military honors will be provided by the Kokomo Military Rites Team prior to the service.
Contributions in Dale’s memory may be to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be provided at the mortuary.
