Janet Sue (Jones) Byers
MESA, Ariz. — Janet Sue (Jones) Byers, 78, Mesa, Ariz., went home to be with the Lord at 11:30 a.m. April 7, 2014.
She and her husband Jay Dee Byers spent 55 plus years together. They both graduated from Logansport High School in 1954. She was born in 1936 to Robert L. and Katherine Hoker Jones.
Surviving are her husband Jay Dee and two brothers, Richard Jones (Clara), Logansport, and Tom Jones (Gail), Kokomo; two sons, Erik Byers (Mary), Downey, Calif., and James Byers (Michelle), Placentia, Calif.; four grandchildren, Emily, Jared, Beth and Jakob; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
Janet had COPD and had moved from Logansport because of her disease. She passed away at home with her husband and hospice nurse at her bedside. She had, but two tough days, and our prayers were answered, God willing, that she go home and she did. God is good ... always. God bless the hospice workers.
Her last two years were spent in Mesa Ariz., in a senior apartment complex. They were great, joyful years.
Her ashes will be put in the Pacific Ocean near San Diego, Calif.
