Judith Lee (Carroll) Dutton

KENNETH CITY, Fla. — Judith Lee (Carroll) Dutton, 74, Kenneth City, Fla., formerly of Logansport, passed away at 3:30 a.m. Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Northside Hospital, St. Petersburg, Fla.

Born June 27, 1939, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Richard Hugh and Inez Marie Lee Carroll.

On Aug. 1, 1981, in Logansport, she was married to John E. Dutton, Jr., who survives in Kenneth City, Fla.

While living in Indiana, Judy was a registered nurse who worked as a supervisor at the Logansport State Hospital. While living in Florida, she worked as a unit supervisor for St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg; was a clinical manager for Operation PAR; and most recently, employed at Lake Seminole Square as an RN supervisor for personalized living.

Judy was a 1957 graduate of Logansport High School and a 1979 graduate of Indiana University School of Nursing.

Also surviving are children: William Joseph Askew (Joyce), Thornton, Colo., Beth Ann Askew, St. Petersburg, Fla., Brenda Lee Chesney, St. Petersburg, Michael Scott Albright, Kenneth City, Fla., and Ronald Dutton, Lafayette.

Siblings who survive are: Robert L. Carroll, Logansport, Priscilla Ann Witt, (Robert) Hudson, Cynthia L. LaDow (Thomas), Logansport; Bonnie Carroll (sister-in-law) Ft. Wayne; Vick Dutton (brother-in-law), Ocala, Fla., Doug Dutton (Adenia) (brother-in-law), Hialeah, Fla., Brad Dutton (brother-in-law) Ocala, and Brett Dutton (Mariely) (brother-in-law), Kokomo.

Grandchildren surviving are Tara Faine, Jarrod Spencer, Aaron Fernung, Erika Powers, Courtney Thompson, Danielle Askew, Ryan Fernung, Billy Jo Askew, Christian Albright-Swick, and Zach Albright-Swick; and great-grandchildren Jayde Thompson, Alyx Thompson, Brady Spencer, Alekzandra Powers, Maddison Powers, Joslynn Powers, Landon Fernung, Rylan Cauthen, Noah Fernungand Faith Fernung.

Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Judy was preceded in death by brother, Richard W. Carroll, sister-in-law, Carol Carroll, and grandson, Matthew Spencer.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Kroeger Funeral Home, with Pastor Dave Sommers officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Friday at Kroeger Funeral Home.
