Marian J. Reid, 102, Logansport, passed away at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013, in Miller’s Merry Manor.

Born Feb. 11, 1911, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Frank M. and Bessie L. Rowe Clemans. She was married Oct. 19, 1929, in Danville, Ill., to Raymond C. Reid. He preceded her in death July 28, 1984.

A loving Christian mother, Marian had been employed as the vice-president of the former Logansport Spring Company.

Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth A. Yohe, Evansville, and Mary Jane (James) Day, St. Louis, Mo.; one son, Dr. John Thomas Reid, Tipton; 10 grandchildren: Jennifer Yohe, David Yohe, John Reid Jr., Jody Reid, Kendra Reid, Gary Reid, Michelle Hickman, Anna Hickman, Katherine Day and Carolyn Day; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a host of neighbors and caregivers at Miller’s Merry Manor whom loved dearly over the past seven years.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen K. Clemans, Jane Costello and Mary E. Campbell; and one brother, Ralph Clemans.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Fisher Funeral Chapel, 1801 Chase Road, Logansport with Bill Heinzman officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral chapel.
