Rachel Joy Morgan


GEORGETOWN — Rachel Joy Morgan, 63, Georgetown, passed away at 7 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, at her residence.

Born Jan. 28, 1950, in St. Louis, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ione McAliley Larson. In June of 1995 in Peru, she was married to Allen Morgan, who survives.

Rachel had worked as a waitress for many years and retired from the former Carousel Restaurant. She enjoyed collecting all sorts of gadgets, mainly for the kitchen. She loved sewing, crocheting and canning. Most of all, she enjoyed watching her granddaughters’ softball games.

Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Elizabeth Neal of Georgetown and Teresa McMahan of Logansport; one son, Dennis Medbourn of Logansport; one stepdaughter, Shawna Lee of Hartleroad, Fla.; two stepsons, Aaron Morgan of Peru and Ray Edward of Salt Lake City, Utah; two brothers, Frank Larson of Missouri and David Larson of Florida; two sisters, Patricia Young of Tennessee and Joan Lloyd of Missouri; four grandchildren, Kristin Neal, Kaitlyn Neal, Brandy Devers and Roy Burbridge; four step-grandchildren and her beloved dog, Mitch.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jonathon Larson.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Fisher Funeral Chapel.

Friends may call one hour prior to the services.

Expression of sympathy may best be made with a contribution to the Rachel Morgan Memorial Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
