Frances M. Laird, 95, Noblesville, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Hamilton Trace, Fishers.
She was born April 8, 1918, to Walter and Elizabeth (Clymer) Shropshire.
Frances was a homemaker for many years after she retired from Prudential Insurance in the 1960s where she worked on the administrative staff. She enjoyed going to Bible study at Sanders Glen, Book Clubs and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority at Indiana University Bloomington.
She is survived by son, James A. (Jeanette) Laird and a daughter, Chris (Steve) Gleim; grandchildren, Lori (Brian) McGavic, Jennifer (Matt) Wood, Kristi (Jason) Beer, Angela Gleim, Matt Gleim; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Taylor and James Wood, Mya and Lauren McGavic, and Alex and Caroline Beer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Laird, brothers, Arthur and Richard Shropshire, and sisters, Mary Dawalt and Virginia Ditzler.
Private services for Frances will be at the First United Methodist Church, Noblesville. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.
