Agnes L. 'Aggie' Krulik-Bossung

MONTICELLO — Agnes L. “Aggie” Krulik-Bossung, 87, Monticello, passed away at 2:50 p.m. Sunday, June 15, 2014, at White Oak Health Campus, Monticello.

She was born July 9, 1926, in Lucerne, to the late Jonas and Genevieve (Weaver) Kuhn. On May 28, 1949, at St. Ann Catholic Church, Monterey, she married Charles E. “Chuck” Krulik. He passed away on Feb. 6, 1980. Then on March 19, 1988, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Reynolds, she married William “Bill” Bossung. He passed away on March 25, 1999.

Aggie had lived in the Monticello community most of her life and had also lived in Michigan City, Wabash and LaPorte communities.

She went to St. Agnes Convent in 1943 in Fold-du-Lac, Wis., to become a nun.

Aggie served as a candidate for one year and a novice nun for two years, known as Sister Mary Beth.

She was a member of Our Lady of The Lakes Catholic Church, Monticello, and was also a member of the Altar and Rosary Sodality of the church.

Aggie also was a lifetime member of the Precious Memories Club and the NIPSCO Cracker Barrel Club.

She enjoyed cooking, cake decorating and crafts. Aggie had cooked many cakes for numerous graduations, weddings and anniversaries. Her deepest passion was her family and friends.

Aggie’s door was always open and a hug and smile were eagerly given.

Surviving are sons, Don (wife Mary) Krulik, and Ron Krulik, both of Monticello, Lon Eugene (wife Connie) Krulik of Hartfort, Wis., and Tom Kevin (wife Debra) Krulik of Martinsville; daughters, Connie Marie (husband Ross) Neininger, and Bonnie Jean Devers, both of Monticello; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; companion, Laddie Shuman of Monticello; sisters, Mary Pletka of Orlando, Fla., Leona (husband Paul) Sommers, and Frances (husband Bernard) Knouff, both of Winamac; and brother, James “Jimmy” Kuhn of Winamac.

Aggie was preceded in death by sisters, Bernice Braun, Sister Ruth Ann and Theresa Olson; and an infant sister; brothers, Dick, Ralph, Leonard; and twin infants.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home, Monticello, with a Rosary Service at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of The Lakes Catholic Church, Monticello.

Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in rural Reynolds.

Memorials may be given to Women Giving Together through the White County Community Foundation.
