CAMDEN — Landen Spencer Reneau, 17, rural Camden, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at his home.
He was born Feb. 18, 1997, in Lafayette, to Joseph David and Karlene Kaye Hoffman Reneau, and they survive.
He would have been a junior this fall at Carroll Jr-Sr High School, Flora. He played varsity football and basketball for Carroll. He was a member of Faith Church of Christ in Burlington, and attended its youth group program.
He enjoyed playing basketball with his brother and dad at their house, boating and tubing at local lakes. He enjoyed the Miami Heat basketball team, and the New Orleans Saints football team. He also enjoyed fishing and playing golf with his family.
Surviving are his parents, Joseph and Karlene Reneau of Camden; brother, Jaden Taylor Reneau at home; paternal grandparents, Roger and Vicki Reneau of Burlington; maternal grandmother, Connie J. Roberts of Flora; maternal grandfather, Darrell L. Hoffman of Flora; maternal great-grandmother, Mildred Mullendore of Crawfordsville; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Garrett Tyler Reneau.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Faith Church of Christ, Burlington, with Pastor Steve Cole officiating. Burial will be at the Burlington Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
