INDIANAPOLIS — Dorothy M. Raubuck, 89, passed away on May 16, 2014, in Indianapolis, after a recent illness.
She was born on Feb. 12,1925, in Terre Haute, to Walter Stutz and Louise Kern Stutz. After her marriage to Charles (Gene) Raubuck she lived in Terre Haute, Seelyville, Farmersburg, Danville, Ill., and Newburg eventually retiring to Beverly Hills, Fla. She lived with her sister, Juanita Hunter in Logansport, after her husband’s death in 2001.
While residing in Logansport she was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, Tourist Club and Church Women United where she sang in the chorus and prepared backpacks for school children.
Dorothy spent the last four years in an Indianapolis assisted living community where she was known as a kind and caring person by residents and staff.
Her sister, her brother, William Stutz of Evansville and numerous nieces and nephews survive her.
Her wishes were to return to St. Marks United Church of Christ, which was the church that she and her husband were involved with from its inception while living in the Terre Haute area.
A celebration of her life will be at 3 p.m. Saturday June 21, at St. Marks United Church of Christ in Terre Haute, with Rev. Teresa Higus officiating. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
