Robert ‘Dale’ Bridge


LOGANSPORT — Robert “Dale” Bridge, 72, Logansport, passed away at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at St. Mary’s Health Care in Lafayette, after a four-month battle with brain cancer. 

Dale was born July 7, 1940, in Logansport, to Dudley and Frances Sellers Bridge.

He retired from Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company and was a former driver for Carter Block for 20 years.

Dale was a member of Royal Center Masonic Lodge 585. He was an avid sports and NASCAR fan.

Survivors include one daughter, Vicki Wood and husband, Dan, Lafayette; sister, Janice Bridge, Texas; companion, Susan Kinder, Logansport; one grandchild, Jake Hosler, Lafayette; one great-granddaughter, Madison Hosler, Lafayette; three stepgrandchildren, Lyndsy Wood, Kokomo, Samantha (Chad) McDonald, Logansport, and Danny Wood Jr., Logansport; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Bridge.

A celebration of life service will be held at noon Saturday at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory. Jim Bird will be officiating the services and visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services.
